Routine rest time during daycare is not only important to the health of your pet, but also for the safety of the entire pack. Resting refers to the downtime in between playtimes during daycare. This gives your pet a chance to recuperate so they do not exhaust themselves before their visit comes to an end, which is especially important for our full day guests. Additionally, resting significantly decreases the chances of injuries within the pack. Just like with humans, rest allows for both mental and physical recovery, for their overall health and wellbeing.
We have multiple daycare rooms and divide guests based on size and temperament. We also offer one-on-one play with a daycare attendant for dogs who prefer individual play. At The Posh Paw Resort, we have both indoor and outdoor play areas. Our indoor play areas have rubber floors that have been approved as therapeutic for dogs’ joints, and our outdoor yards feature dog-specific turf.
Whether your dog is playing inside or outside, we’ll make sure their day is filled with exciting activities, including playing fetch with tennis balls, engaging with agility equipment, popping bacon-flavored bubbles, and more. We also work on group sit, gate control, and recall skills and participate in a nationwide Day Camp Games competition annually.
All dogs must be up-to-date on their Distemper/Parvo (DHPPV), Rabies, and Bordetella vaccinations. We must have written vaccination proof from your veterinarian prior to your appointment, or our staff can contact your veterinarian to verify. All daycare guests must be spayed or neutered. Socialized dogs are welcome in our pack, and we’ll continue working with them to expand their socialization skills with humans and other dogs.
Before your dog becomes a member of our pack, they’ll need to participate in a Meet and Greet Day. Appointment required. When you return to pick up your dog, we’ll give you a report card to let you know how they did. From there, we’ll make recommendations regarding the next steps and whether your dog is a good candidate for our daycare services.
