Our Mission

The Posh Paw Resort helps pet parents looking for a loving home away from home for overnight stays, a professional and pampering salon service, and a fun, stimulating, safe environment for daycamp. Feel confident your pet will be loved and treated like our own at Posh Paw Resort.

Jan Stewart - Resort Manager

I grew up owning and showing horses and always had dogs as well. More recently, while working full time, I volunteered for 10 years at the local animal shelter. I helped care for and assisted in rehoming many dogs. This led me to bringing home 2 chihuahuas, Chloe and Dillon, which have been my joy since January 2008. Posh Paw is a natural and passionate fit for me to help care for other people's pets while they are away!

Jenica Gonzales - Resort Director

My passion for all animals, big and small, runs through me! Before Posh Paw, I was a Veterinary technician, and before that a kennel technician. I am Canine CPR certified and Canine Safety and First Aid trained. I love helping our guests both humans and pets, feel like Posh Paw is a home away from home. I have a MaltiPoo name Professor Orbit and a Yorkie Mix name Santino. They are completely spoiled and that is definitely how it should be!

Kaileigh Alvarez - Operations Director

Animals have always been a part of my life. I’ve owned and ran my own pet sitting business for years, as well as worked at a previous boarding facility for 4 years. I’ve also worked at a Veterinarian's Office and now Posh Paw. I love and treat every animal like they are my own. I am Canine CPR certified and Canine Safety and First Aid trained. I have a silly Jack Russell named Jelly and a kitty named Kitty! I want to make your pet feel as comfortable as possible while they are in our care!

Lory Palmer - Customer Care

Being raised on a farm, I have always worked and been around animals! Strays have always found and followed me home! I have done lots of volunteer work with the Trinity GAP club, where I’ve fostered both dogs and cats! It is also how I ended up with 4 cats at home, Garfield, Lola, Zeke, and Zoie! I have also worked many years as a Veterinary technician which led me to Posh Paw where I am right at home. I love all our fur babies as well as working with our awesome clients.

Dawn Hoverson - Managing Owner

My love for animals began as a small child lining up my stuffed toy dogs and pretending to be a Veterinarian caring for them. Later through my college years, I went to work in a veterinary hospital growing my knowledge and passion for dogs and cats. For the past four years my devotion turned to rescue and my husband and I started to foster dogs in our home. I became deeply involved as a sponsor with the Trinity GAP Rescue associated with Trinity High School and rescuing dogs and cats from the Euless Animal Shelter. My roles within the group range from event coordinator helping with our semiannual Pet Fair to managing our rescue website.  I am very proud to be a part of such a unique and wonderful rescue group that teaches young high school girls to get involved in their community, as well as such a strong network of volunteers enabling us to cut the euthanasia rate at the Euless Shelter by 80% the last several years.  A dream of mine has always been to incorporate my passion into a career so that I may surround myself with what I love and be excited to go to work every day. Becoming owners of The Posh Paw Resort is truly a blessing for my husband and I who both share a deep love and commitment to the happiness and safety of our canine customers. We are making several exciting upgrades and improvements to the facility that I am proud to share with our clients and the community. I am also very happy to announce that The Posh Paw will support the Trinity GAP Rescue by providing boarding for many rescue dogs that need a safe place out of the shelter when space is no longer available. I am truly thrilled that my rescue work and business can be intertwined to help save even more homeless dogs.

Will Hoverson - Owner

My love for dogs and entrepreneurial spirit makes creating a great place to bring your dogs a natural fit for me. Along with my wife I have enjoyed fostering and helping dogs find new homes as sponsors with the Trinity GAP rescue organization. Dawn and I have great plans for the Posh Paw and want to make it a truly Posh place for dogs and their owners. I am also excited that we are working on ways to combine our dog rescue work with our business.
